WOW what an incredible year!
I don’t know what people mean by bridezilla because I’ve been lucky to have awesome clients (knock on wood).
I’m digging how brides these days are choosing songs that are meaningful to them (ex. Black Hole Sun, Led Zeppelin, etc.).
Here are the most popular songs I played for weddings in 2018:
Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring
Can’t Help Falling in Love - Elvis
Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
Canon in D
Perfect - Ed Sheeran (I called this one!)
Marry You - Bruno Mars
All You Need Is Love - The Beatles
You Are the Best Thing - Ray LaMontagne
Phoenix venues I played at this year:
McDowell Mountain Ranch
Country Club at DC Ranch
Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse
Desert Botanical Gardens
Omni Scottsdale at Montelucia
Venue at the Grove
L’Auberge de Sedona
The two venues I was most impressed with were Venue at the Grove and L’Auberge. While L’Auberge was certainly one of the more difficult weddings I’ve played due to the terraced lawns and the rain (see previous post), it was incredibly beautiful.
Venue at the Grove is a cute spot in Phoenix that reminded me of the East Coast - a huge lawn with towering trees and a massive patio perfect for dinner and dancing.
Can’t wait to see what 2019 brings 🍾🎶
